Consider the personality of the person receiving the gift. Is that person, conservative, flamboyant, daring, quiet or athletic? Next consider the interests of the person receiving the gift. Sports, Food, Wine, Flowers and Clothes. Any hobbies? Any collectibles? Favorite Color? Age Appropriate? These are all things to take into consideration.

Shopping can be fun if you already know what you’re doing, but if you wait till last minute it can be an extremely frustrating process. Buying the gift well in advance will help avoid frustration. A knowledgeable sales person can be extremely helpful with ideas and selection so don’t be afraid to ask for help. Shopping with a friend can give you more ideas and a second opinion.
